The I-Don't-Want-To-Buy-A-Million-Stamps-and-Gather-A-Million-Addresses Christmas Letter

2012 has been a wonderful and eventful year for the Brown family.  Here are some of the highlights:

Toby (6) has enjoyed swimming lessons, T-ball, finishing kindergarten and starting first grade.  He was very brave during his first trip to the hospital and, subsequently, the allergist, lost two teeth and gained five, has a love of facts and is obsessed with a world record book he conned his Meema into buying for him.

Amelia (4) continues to surprise us as she grows. Her newfound love of spelling has increased her vocabulary and willingness to talk at least tenfold.  We were shocked when she typed “Activities to do with your preschooler,” and laughed when she kept her cousins up way passed their bedtime, forcing them to play moderators to her one-contestant spelling bee.

(this will take you to the blog I started for Amelia--everything on it is typed by her, and is 99% unprompted and unedited)

In the spring, Sean accidently became a coach for Toby’s T-ball team and managed to enjoy it.  He continues to serve as a counselor in our ward’s Bishopric, is generally adored at work, and observes the progress of the Philadelphia Temple construction on walks during lunch.

The most exciting thing that happened this year in our family was the addition of a new member!  Wyatt Daniel Brown entered the world in a hurried fashion (less than five minutes after arriving at the hospital!) at 1:51 am on July 12th.  He weighed in at 9 lbs 3 oz.  Toby loves being a big brother, and Amelia occasionally observes, “Baby say WAA.”  Wyatt continues to grow and delight his family, as well as friends and strangers alike with his beautiful smile and crazy hair.

As for what I've been up to, see paragraphs 2,3, and 5. Besides taking care of "Chubbs," "Bobo," and "That Baby With A Mohawk!" right now I spend my “extra” time singing in (and out of) our ward choir, making the occasional bow, intending to clean the house, and writing our first actual family Christmas letter.  I also plan on donating my hair to Locks of Love for the fourth time –as soon as I decide what haircut I want.

We feel extremely blessed right now and are grateful for the many things the Lord has given us.  We count you as one of those blessings.  We are grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and that our family can be together forever.  Merry Christmas!
Love,
Sean, Becca, Toby, Amelia, and Wyatt Brown
